Gina

Executive Director

Gina is our Executive Director and has been with Safe Harbor since December 2009. She is a graduate of Northern State University with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication. She is currently involved in Leadership Aberdeen offered by the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce. Gina is very excited about the new direction Safe Harbor is taking and hopes that we can make a big impact in all the communities we serve. Gina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, cooking and baking.

Jamie

Rural Advocate

Jamie has been with the agency, starting as a part-time shelter attendant in March 2007 and hired as the Rural Advocate in June 2008. Jamie’s job duties include: community education presentations, assisting clients with protection orders, doing outreach within the seven counties Safe Harbor serves, and also leading the volunteer on-call advocacy program.

Jamie has her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Presentation College. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and traveling.

Debbie

Kids Konnection Coordinator

Debbie is our Kids Konnection Coordinator and has been employed with Safe Harbor since November of 2002. She finds the position to be a very exciting one and needed one. Debbie advocates for children and their parents to be part of each others’ lives while one parent or both are working on adult issues through the Department of Social Services and/or through the Legal System. She is currently the Secretary of the SD Chapter for the SVN, also currently the Secretary of The Aberdeen Area Child Protection Team and The Multidisciplinary Team Member of which both advocate for Children’s Safety and well being. 

She is excited to be part of Safe Harbor and part of an agency that provides such important services to those that need it. In some ways Safe Harbor is like a beacon of light to those that use our services…. Their journey may be like riding the waves to a brighter future to where they can get to a point in life where they feel warm and safe.

Becky

Shelter Coordinator

Becky is our Shelter Coordinator and has been employed with Safe Harbor since February 2007. She is a graduate of Presentation College with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW). Becky maintains Safe Harbor’s shelter and assists clients in transitioning into their own home. She will also assist in protection orders and provide support throughout the duration of any court appearances. She is a member of the Coordinated Community Response Team and also Child and Adolescent Service System Program. Becky was born and raised in Aberdeen and enjoys spending time with her family and friends along with playing soccer and deer hunting.

LaVonne

Office Manager

LaVonne is our Office Manager and has been with Safe Harbor since November of 2009. She and her husband moved here from Ashley, ND. She has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. LaVonne also enjoys motorcycling, camping, waterskiing, and cooking.

Jaci

Administrative Assistant

Jaci is our part-time Administrative Assistant and has been employed with Safe Harbor since May 2009. She is currently attending Northern State University and will graduate in May 2011 with a degree in Psychology. Jaci greets clients, assists staff with client services, and is our all around “go to girl”. She is also learning to help clients with protection orders and attends court as needed as an advocate for our clients. Jaci was born and raised in Aberdeen, she enjoys spending time at the lake, camping, anything that keeps her outdoors.
