On Call Advocates

Working with law enforcement and Avera St. Luke's Hospital, trained volunteer advocates are available for survivors of family violence and sexual assault.

Advocates provide confidential and free services to help families through crisis situations. They assist with safety planning, offer support, and information about Safe Harbor and community resources.

A year will have gone pass since everyone at Safe Harbor helped my daughter and I find the protection from her father who was molesting her. After a year of court, counselors, and nightmares, we were able to close that chapter in our life after our last day in court. Being able to join Take Back the Night in April is something that I feel we need to do and is also our way of saying “thank you” even though those words will never be enough gratitude for everything you at Safe Harbor have done for us.
